On my recent "Windshield Coming, Muffler Next!" posting, I was expecting a flood of responses, knowing the popularity of aftermarket mufflers. Maybe you're hesitating to recommend either the Supertrapp or the Jardine because each has its adherents, and recommending one over the other may cause an unhealthy dissention, giving rise to a "flame" situation on the Forum, which I certainly wouldn't want! Muffler choices can be a very personal thing! Now, if you don't mind giving your opinions, just to help a new Savage owner who never heard an aftermarket exhaust, here is what I want from a muffler: I'm not at all interested in performance gains, only in a deep, mellow rumbling sound, similar to the exhaust from a Deisel tugboat. Naturally, I want the exhaust to be louder than the stock "lawnmower engine" sound, but not to the point of being raucous!
Please let me know your opinions, if you think it's "politically correct" to do so on an open forum!
